    Whats with the sunset?
I think you need a more appropriate picture, unless its supposed to be symbolic of Liverpool’s season.

Hi Jeff, I have to concede, grudgingly, that you called the Sunderland-Everton game right, though I would take you to task on the comment about poor passing. In Everton’s case there were many good passes. The fact that most of the good passes were sideways or to players standing still is not the point. Actually it is the point, though having called my side for aimless long balls for many a season it is marginally better, with the emphasis on marginally, to see them attempting to keep the ball. The problem is it so damn frustrating when there is so little end product. Am I the only Evertonian who thinks Rodwell has proved very little yet as a Premiership player? Keep it going Jeff

Out of all the games at the weekend, and I watched a few, I have to say that I enjoyed the Sunderland-Everton game most of all. I stilll say the passing was poor, though there were lots of good passes, but lots of possession given away (unforced errors in tennis-speak).

I was disappointed with Arteta actually, though the typically-English type of game it was probably wasn’t to his liking. Credit to him for sticking at it though, and producting some excellent skill for the goal. I’m definitely with you on the Rodwell-front. OK, there was the superb goal v the Mancs, but I was quite surprised to hear that Taggart was making a move for him. I have to say that I thought I’d missed something, but sounds like, in your opinion anyway, I haven’t !

I think Beckford’s chance at the end was not as easy as it looked. Had he been 10 yards further out it was a goal, and actually the only way to have scored that was either a mis-hit or a perfectly-timed lob, so it might not have looked pretty, but it was ‘unfortunate’.

Great to see a “good old-fashioned English game ” for a change !!
